Communication
and Collaboration Doesn’t Have
to Be Hard
Flow into creativity and bring levity to
problem-solving with the Interact Method*
*Crafted by TV Show Creator, Executive Producer,
Writer and Showrunner, Larry Dorf
Throughout my 20+ year career in television, I've created and run many shows including, “The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window” for Netflix starring Kristen Bell, “Mike Tyson Mysteries” starring Mike Tyson and Norm MacDonald, and “Nobodies” on TV Land and Paramount Network. These experiences in the high-pressure, fast-paced world of television have allowed me to develop incredibly valuable insights into the creative collaboration process.
Recognizing that these perspectives are integral in all collaborative settings, I've devised a method to help organizations across industries enhance their communication, collaboration and creativity.
The InterAct Method is a step-by-step experiential learning process that teaches teams to unlock their full potential, present ideas with confidence, embrace uncertainty and build on each other's ideas to generate truly unique and innovative solutions.

FAQs
What are the workshops?
Perfect for corporate retreats, these hands-on training sessions get your team actively involved and learning through experience. Each activity builds on the previous one, so everyone gains practical skills that they can immediately put to use in their daily work.
How long are the workshops?
The ideal workshop is around 3.5 hours in length but we can go longer for a more in-depth practice . This gives us enough time to present and integrate the material.
How many people can you accomodate?
The workshops are scalable. I have worked with as little as 5 people and as many as 250. I bring in additional instructors as needed.
Are the workshops customizable?
Yes! I do an in depth interview with your team to determine what your needs are and I incoroprate them into the training.
What do you do for consulting?
I provide personalized coaching for leaders and executives to enhance their communication skills (including writing), think on their feet, and improve their public speaking abilities.

Testimonials
We had a great experiece with my managment team and the entire staff of 30 people in two day long sessions. The preparation was very professional and the training conducted with a lot of empathy. People were approached in a kind way and were brought out of their comfort zone in an agreed upon manner. As part of our internal change management process we wanted to bring the team into a space of openness that was relaxing and fun, while having a serious experience getting to know their own and their colleague's emotions. They had a lot of fun performing various exercises with lots of humor and laughter.
The result is outstanding: people are talking about this experience on a regular basis. It touched their hearts. Even those who were reluctant are now appreciating their participation. People are already asking for a refresher course. I am convinced that it was a very good decision to ask the for this training to help us in the initial steps of our change management efforts. Larry and Steve did a very good job and I recommend them highly."

"Your training was a powerfully successful exercise in how to think on your feet, trust your instincts, and importantly the instincts of people around you, and become a more powerful presenter and teammate. It was the single most popular training our agency has ever provided, in large part because it was both outrageously fun and deeply intellectual when one thought about its implications carefully. One of the best reasons I can give as recommendation for this training is that based on in-depth feedback not only did it benefit staff professionally, but it also provided equal measures of positive impact on their personal lives. No small feat."

Testimonials
"The facilitators delivered training to our team of 26 for our group retreat, on a Sunday afternoon and evening in meeting rooms and outside in courtyards. They made everyone feel they were very important through initial introductions, and even made what you would think of as this housekeeping process fun and interesting.
They explained the benefits of the training, improving the ability to work together, improving communications, getting to know one another, understanding our trust or lack of it. And the fascinating thing is they did 90% of this education process without explicit telling people what was happening. But they got it later, buy infusion of the process. Our trainers explained what was happening simply and completely, to assuage the fears of the introverts and the shy, and yet they engaged the extroverts and the boisterous.
I think the power and lessons of the very fun and quite funny exercises shows as they became spontaneous topics of conversations at dinner that night and into the next days. People talked about epiphanies and insights - and we don't usually use those terms. And our folks have taken the lessons to heart. One thing that was so interesting was that if someone was quite verbal, our trainers worked with the way they spoke, but if someone was kinesthetic, they could actually bring some things out of them with action or body language. Of note - I have heard zero negative comments. You would, in a group our size, expect something negative - we have a lot of very analytical folks - but there was no negative comment. Well done, gentlemen. I hope we can use you, again."

Testimonials
"Having hired 10 new reps in 10 months, our sales team was experiencing growing pains and was in need of some team building. At the beginning of our improv session, arms were crossed, eyes downcast in fear of being "chosen" or put on the spot and body language was closed. By the end of our 6 hour session, laughter filled the air, people were clamouring to the front of the class volunteering to be next up and the general atmosphere was that of one, big happy family.
Immediately after our teambuilding session and the following week a number of sales reps called me to say that it had been 'The best meeting ever' and that 'We have a great team' or that 'I really got to see a different, more relaxed and fun side to everyone'. What a great success our session was! I would highly recommend Steve Mallory to any company looking to strengthen their team."

"Our Programs Department left the retreat feeling re-energized, re-focused, and most importantly, feeling like a whole team with a unified purpose. Your activities provided us with an invaluable ‘team-building experience.’ The feedback I received from the staff after the retreat was overwhelmingly positive. Thank you again for providing us a memorable training experience."

"Excellent! The best part about the training was how the people in our group really came out of their shell and got involved with the program. The lessons that we learned from your training are still being used in our workplace today. We look forward to having you back for our next retreat and I will be referring you to our business partners at my first opportunity. Thanks again."
